![]() Melissa “MC” Casey is a seasoned litigator, licensed in both Texas and Illinois. She has tried many cases to verdict on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Notably, she recently obtained a no-liability defense verdict in a rear end accident involving a commercial defendant wherein the plaintiff’s attorney asked the jury for more than 30 million dollars. On the other side of the docket, she successfully represented injured individuals, including a brain damaged toddler who was the victim of medical malpractice and a student who had been repeatedly raped by a public high school track coach. MC will always seek justice and fight zealously for her clients. In addition to personal injury cases, she has represented numerous companies throughout the United States in commercial litigation. From “mom and pop” companies to Texas insurance brokers to large unions, some of the more notable include two lengthy federal cases; one involving wrongful termination of an entire department over political affiliation, the other a breach of an endorsement agreement involving a famous tennis player. She is also one of only a handful of lawyers in Texas to defend veterinarians accused of malpractice and insurance brokers in errors and omissions claims. In addition to her work as a litigator, MC has been an invited witness before the Texas State Senate to speak on behalf of Texas businesses, a published author, and a featured speaker at multiple bar events. She is a trained arbitrator for the Cook County, Illinois courts, and is now scheduling mediations, where her decades of experience on both sides of the docket and in a vast array of cases will serve the parties well to reach resolution. When not hard at work for her clients in the courthouse, MC can be found on the courts, the tennis courts, that is, or even more likely, the golf course or the shooting range. She is fiercely competitive and will rarely decline a challenge. The accomplishments for which she has the most pride, however, are her brood of 5 children, her beloved husband, Chris, their multiple pets and cherished friends.
